Crypto Wizards AMA With Dragon Mainland
Guest:Jason Dekker
Introduction:
Q1: Can you give a brief introduction of what Dragon Mainland is? What is it aiming to do, and what it intends to solve in this industry?
Ans:DM is a brand new “play to earn” game that’s a fully immersive 3D encrypted NFT collectibles game.
The original idea of Dragon Mainland came from How to Train your Dragon. Dragons have long captivated both Eastern and Western cultures. Most recently with movies and TV shows like Avatar, Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings and many others.
We feel like the idea of breeding, raising and fighting Dragons 🐉 will captivate gamers and is something exciting.
As we started structuring the game after further discussions we started to form a mythical worldview on the background of Dragon Mainland.
Worldview: Magical Mythology (high level):
This is a continuation of the era after the Dragon Knight where humans rode dragons. Now, there is no longer a need for dragons to be used as mounts to participate in the war. After continuous domestication and training the Dragons are now under the leadership of sub commanders.
Since the start of independent
warfare, the war between people has turned into a war among dragons.
Dragon Mainland is divided into five different territories according to the terrain environment:
Fire flames, Aqua city, Sand kingdoms, Wind dune, and Thunder god hill.
Superficially, harmony exists among all countries in accordance with the jointly formulated plan. And, the rule of existence maintains order although the actual undercurrent is turbulent.
In order to compete for a
high-quality hierarchical tribal system. Various forces are vying openly and secretly. Adventurers are sent to various countries to search for and battle different tribes.
We aim to create a fully decentralized community or a DAO . The community will be able to validate all transactions and activities inside the game which provides a level playing field for everyone.
It’s the intersection of gaming + DeFi + NFTs in a Dragon Ecosystem.
We have 4 combat modes:
1. Single player PvP
2. Multi player PvP
3. Single player PvE
4. Multi player PvE
PVE:
Battle unit: 1-3 dragons on our side, and up to 3 dragons from the enemy. Each can attack multiple times at a time.
Attack rules: If there are no special card effects, priority will be given to attacking the dragon closest in front of the enemy.
If the enemy's foremost unit is side by side with another the restraint unit will be attacked first among the two. If there is no restraint, priority will be given to attacking the parallel units below the enemy.
Preparation: In this stage, players play the five skill cards in their hands according to their own energy points. Some skill cards require energy consumption, while others do not.
The skill cards played correspond to the dragons one by one. At this stage, only the player manually enters the next step before entering the round battle phase.
PVP
The battle among the players focuses on the player's choice of placement and strategy for each round.
Players: Both sides can only supply 3 dragons.
Preparation: In this stage, players play the six skill cards in their hands according to their own energy points, some of which require energy consumption and some do not.
The skill cards played correspond to the dragons one by one. There is a countdown at this stage, and it will automatically enter the round battle stage when the countdown ends.
The round battle phase is the same as the PVE round battle phase.
There is also an extremely vibrant in-game economy in which the Dragon Mainland charges fees for transactions to earn revenue. That revenue will be reinvested back into marketing and user acquisition.
In terms of what problems we are trying solve, my take is its bigger than that. My personal macro viewpoint is two fold:
1. All games will be blockchain games soon because of the ability to own in-game assets or NFTs and for their token based economies.
2. The rise of industrial automation and robotics will put half the world out of work. We see this as a new occupation and that’s more what we are targeting. Game experience or not…
I believe that virtual economies will become as important as the real economy and “play to earn” is a new profession. That’s where a game like Dragon Mainland fits in.
Q2: Can you share some of your background and experience? How did you know and get involved in cryptocurrency? What made you/your team decide to found Dragon Mainland?
Ans:My quick background is I started my professional career as a stock market trader in the late 1990’s trading Internet stocks. I did very well and started my own hedge fund in the early 2000’s. Ran it up to $300 Million USD at its peak.
Then I was a founder of a Biotechnology company sold to a publicly listed Nasdaq company. Had an organic food and beverage company sold to my former business partner.
Then I was the CEO and Founder of a Blockchain company called GoChain. We successfully raised $15 million USD in our ICO in 2018 and won the Binance community listing vote by the largest margin ever, ticker symbol GO.
At GoChain we partnered with several Fortune 500 and public companies like Microsoft, Dish Network, and Enviva. GoChain has primarily turned its focus to Supply Chain with its Chainsparency platform. They also have an NFT platform called Zeromint.
There’s more but I’ve had a very successful corporate background and been active in the blockchain crypto space for the past 6+ years.
And, now I’m the CEO of Dragon Mainland! Our team is the combination of a game studio and blockchain/crypto experts. That’s exactly what’s needed for a play to earn game like Dragon Mainland!
The reason we started Dragon Mainland has to do with my macro view I posted in the previous answer:
1. All games will be blockchain games soon because of the ability to own in-game assets or NFTs and for their token based economies.
2. The rise of industrial automation and robotics will put half the world out of work. We see this as a new occupation and that’s more what we are targeting. Game experience or not…
I believe virtual economies will become as important as the real economy. And, “play to earn” games will bring mass adoption to blockchain and crypto.
Q3: Currently, there are many scam projects that cause investors to lose. So, Why we should choose and trust Dragon Mainland ?
Ans:Rug pulls mostly happen on “new” projects where the founders are not known and/or anonymous. We aren’t an anonymous project and I’m very visible on video quite regularly and I’m very active in the community.
You can trust our project because we are well known in the industry. My track record in the Blockchain space and in the Corporate world is fully visible to the world. My name is on the door. I live in Dubai.
This is my second large Public blockchain project and my background is easily verifiable. You can find videos of me on YouTube and articles about me on Google.
In addition, and probably most importantly the play to earn Metaverse/GameFi space is just beginning to blow up! This is by far the most exciting niche in Blockchain/Crypto today. We aren’t going anywhere. We are just starting…
Q4: How secure is your platform? Have you audited smart contracts?
- Bug smart deals and no protection from hacking. Which is very important for your platform?
Ans:Platform security is super important. We just announced a few days ago on Twitter that Certik is almost done with our Smart Contract audit. Once it’s completed you we will post the Certificate publicly.
We fully expect all the hackers and scammers and fraudsters to come. They are already here and already trying to disrupt our ecosystem. At this point happening so early we’ll take it as a compliment.
Hacking is always a concern and we take cyber security very seriously. To protect the project we are tons of penetration testing, audit all the smart contracts, hiring hacking groups to try to break in, and using FileCoin and IPFS a to protect the NFTs.
All smart contracts are in the process of being audited by CertiK, a very well known smart contract auditing firm. We will publish the audit certificates publicly when the audits are complete.
To protect the NFT’s using FileCoin and IPFS provides a massive advantage because of the way they use content addressing. This ensures that if a breach did happen all the NFTs should be protected. This creates a truly decentralized solution to manage this problem.
This is an ongoing issue that will never go away and we will stay vigilant to protect our platform and our community!
Q5: Many investors focus only on the token price in the short term rather than the real value of the project. Can Dragon Mainland share the motivation and benefits for investors in the long term?
Ans:What we’ve focused on is create and amazing engaging fun game. In addition, we’ve added a deflationary token ecosystem and Dragon devouring/recycling system which decreases the number of Dragon NFTs. Theoretically, these should help the token price and the value of the NFTs over the long term.
There are very few projects that are working on deflationary token economics and deflationary NFT models at the same time in one GameFi platform.
We can build the environment for price appreciation and we are doing that but it’s up to the free market to decide prices.
Lastly, there are so many circular mechanisms that we’ve built in the game like Dragon staking that should increase demand for dragons. There are many indirect mechanisms that should help NFT prices to remain stable or rising over time.
After all that the short answer is a fun game with high payouts and valuable ecosystem.
Twitter Segment:
1)I saw that there will be five different types of dragons on the game, can you tell us more about them and the playability of each one?
By @Dorothy279knot
Ans:In Dragon Mainland there are five types of dragon: fire, water, storm, thunder and rock. Each dragon is born with five basic combat attributes: Attack, Defence, Life, Speed and Life force.
These basic combat attributes are calculated according to the dragon's genetics and level.
Life Force affects the dragon's HP ; Attack affects the extra value added to card damage; Defense affects the extra value subtracted from card damage.
Speed affects the order of the dragon's actions and the reduction in the chance of taking a blast; Life force affects the combination of card damage, the probability of dealing a blast, the probability of the dragon entering the [Death State] after its blood has gone to zero and the duration of the [Death State] round.
The game has two modes of play, PVE and PVP. The rewards in PVE mode are based on the difficulty of the level, the harder the copy the more rewards you get.
In PVP mode, the rewards are based on the current ranking, the higher the ranking, the higher the rewards for victory.
Regardless of the mode, the stronger the dragon, the easier it is to win the match, so training your dragon to become stronger is the core of the game.
2.Is Dragon Mainland exclusively for gamers? What about non-gamers? Can they still generate income even without playing your game?
By @Saramsallyae
Ans:Dragon Mainland is a GameFi platform with gaming + NFTs + DeFi. Non-gamers can still participate in many ways. It just depends on how much they want to get involved.
They can participate in all of our DeFi aspects like our revenue aggregator and stake their DMS tokens to earn more DMS.
They purchase Dragons and stake them to earn DMP or they could use them to provide scholarships.
As you can see there are many revenue opportunities for both gamers and non-gamers.
3.I've learnt that there are 5 distinctive types of dragons in the game, the Fire, Water, Rock, Storm, and Thunder dragons. Can you discuss the specific traits and power descriptions of each dragon? How do I know which dragon has tactical advantage over other dragons?
Ans:There are 5 races of dragons in DM, Fire Dragon: favors violent combat, Water Dragon: favors assisted regeneration, Rock Dragon: favors defensive control, Storm Dragon: favors agility attack and Thunder Dragon: favors skill damage.
All 5 dragon types have a mutual restraint relationship with each other. Water dragons restrain earth and fire dragons, fire dragons restrain wind and thunder dragons, wind dragons restrain earth and water dragons, earth dragons restrain thunder and fire dragons, and thunder dragons restrain water and wind dragons.
4)Please let me know how I can earn $DMS tokens in DrgonMainland, how many battle modes there are in the game.
Ans:DMS is the ecosystem and governance token and can be earned through staking and through our revenue aggregator.
DMP is our functional utility reward token that you can earn through gameplay.
The DMP rewards in PVE mode are based on the level of difficulty of the instance, the more difficult the instance the more rewards you get
In PVP mode, rewards are based on current ranking, with higher rankings yielding higher rewards for victories.
Regardless of the mode, the stronger the dragon, the easier it will be to win the match, so training your dragon to become stronger is the core of the game.
In DragonMainland, all dragons can be pledged for mining, so the most solid way for players with small capital to make money in the early stages is to pledge dragons for mining.
The rewards can be obtained through the PvE mode of combat. In the early stages, players with small capital can make good money by pledging dragons for mining + PvE battles.
In DragonMainland, all dragons can be pledged for mining, so the most robust way for players with small capital to make money in the early stages is to pledge dragons for mining. The rewards can be obtained through the PvE mode of combat.
In the early stages, players with small capital can also earn a good profit by pledging dragons for mining + PvE battles.
5. DragonMainland has dual token; $DMP and $DMS. Can you elaborate more about this dual token? Why do you choose to have dual token?
By @shihadk6785
Ans:Dragon Mainland has a dual token model DMP and DMS:
Dragon Miracle Potion (DMP) is the utility token issued by Dragon Mainland. It doesn’t have a fixed total supply. It can only be obtained through passing game levels, combat wind, and completing daily quests. It will be consumed during dragon breeding, dragon skull absorption, and devouring other dragons.
Dragon Mainland Shards (DMS) is the ecosystem and governance token of the Dragon Mainland. The total supply of DMS is 1,000,000,000 and no additional DMS will be issued.
The full release will take place over 5 years or 60 months.
Token Allocation:
Mining Rewards 45%,
Foundation Reserve 15%,
Team 21%,
Advisor 4%,
Token Sale 15%
Team, Advisor, and mining reward tokens are locked and released monthly in equal increments over the 60 months.
There is a fixed max supply or DMS but we have several mechanisms to make sure our DMS supply is deflationary to protect the value of it over the long term.
The advantage of holding DMS is that if you stake your tokens and participate in our DeFi opportunities you will earn more DMS!
Next, 50% of the marketplace revenue will be used to buyback DMS and permanently freeze it. This means that there will be buy pressure from gameplay on a daily basis and the overall available token supply will continue to decrease on a daily basis.
The more people play the game the more DMS tokens that will come off the market. This in itself should drive investors to stake the token and hold it AGAIN decreasing the available supply on the market.
We strongly believe in deflationary token ecosystems to create long term value for our holders and we believe in rewarding our token holders that stake their tokens to earn bigger returns.
We feel it’s a very strong model and one that aligns the incentives of the players, investors, and the ecosystem.
Live Q&A
1)So many projects just like to speak about the "long term vision and mission" but what are your short terms objectives? What are you focusing right now?
Ans:Short Term Objectives:
1. Launch LBP
2. Launch DEX
3. Launch DMS staking
4. Launch Marketplace
5. Launch Training System
6. Launch combat system
7. Reach 250k daily active users
2) IS This Your project only for elite investors, how about others with small funds, is it open to everyone?
Ans:Our GameFi platform is for all crypto skill levels. It’s more of a game and you won’t really even know you’re using crypto.
We are definitely targeting the mass market and as such we need to make it as easy and user friendly as possible to do so.
There’s no way to gain massive user adoption if it’s only for super experienced crypto veterans.
Outside of the game itself there will be tons of tutorials, support groups, YouTube videos in many different languages to help make it as easy as possible to learn every aspect of the game.
3) Many people want to learn about your project but they have problem with English, so do you plan to spread awareness about your project in different countries where English is not good? Do you have a Marketing strategy aimed at developing many different communities such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Korea, Iran, ... about your project so that they can easily communicate and understand Project.
Ans:To really expand our market we are partnering and focusing on our regional communities. Without a strong communities nothing good can happen.
We plan to focus heavily on Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East where the play to earn gaming markets are strong. We hope to partner with the likes of YGG and other similar Guilds or groups that will help accelerate user growth.
There will be a huge focus on working with different community leaders to build telegram groups and the like in different languages so there support and a communal network. We are already working with KOLs and groups to make sure we provide all the resources necessary to support the communities in every region.
We are also focusing on a lot of non-English speaking regions. We are also working with our developers to potentially allow users to choose their language when they sign up and sign in.
The global community is going to be what makes Dragon Mainland successful and we plan to support them as much as possible!

4) Hi Sir,👉Staking NFT is a new hype. Can you please tell if this feature will be available on your project?
Ans:Yes, in Dragon Mainland you can stake your Dragon NFTs to earn DMP rewards.
Here’s more info:
Players can pledge their dragons to earn DMP mining rewards. If a player selects one or more dragons for pledge mining, a certain amount of DMP will be awarded per dragon per hour. The user can cancel the pledge at any time, but the settlement blocks are in 3-hour increments. If a 3-hour settlement block is not completed there will be no payout for that time block.
Please note, Stamina is required for dragon pledge mining. 1 stamina point will be consumed per 1 dragon per 3-hour settlement time block. Dragon pledge mining is not possible unless a user has the required stamina needed.
One dragon can produce 9 DMP per 3-hour block with a cost of 1 stamina. In other words, a single dragon can produce 3 DMP for 1 hour of pledge mining. If a player pledges 3 dragons and has 24 stamina points, then they can earn 216 DMP in one full day of pledge mining. This would be completing 8 full 3-hour settlement blocks with 3 dragons.
5) What is PROJECT’s revenue model? In which ways do you generate revenue/profit?
Ans:There are several ways to earn:
1. Complete daily tasks - login, play 5 PvE and 10 PvP games and earn Tokens
2. Stake/Pledge DMS to earn more DMS
3. Liquidity Mine by adding liquidity to our DEX for DMS/BNB, DMS/DMP, BNB/DMP pairs
4. Win Ladder Tournaments
5. Win PvP games
6. Breed Dragons and sell them in the marketplace
7. Trade NFTs for a potential profit
8. Stake your Dragons to earn DMP
